Courvoisier V.S.O.P. is a French cognac from Jarnac, in the Cognac region. V.S.O.P. stands for “Very Superior Old Pale,” indicating its blend of brandies (eaux-de-vie) has been aged for a minimum of four years, though this specific cognac uses blends aged up to 12 years.
It is made from Ugni Blanc grapes, double-distilled in copper stills, and aged in hand-selected French oak barrels. The blend is a mix of spirits from the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, and Fins Bois growing regions (crus).
The result is a smooth and balanced cognac with notes of peach, toasted almonds, and jasmine, with a hint of vanilla and a long, delicate finish.
